Verified feedback from process servers and investigators who trained with us.

★★★★★
I scored a 90 with 30 minutes to spare.

"To be honest, I thought this site was going to be a scam—call me jaded. Thankfully, I spoke with a rep from Codex who put me at ease, and I am glad that I did, because I was completely wrong! The test prep helped immensely; it showed what areas to study, helping with memorization and how to best manage my study time. I scored a 90 and left 30 minutes before the end of the test time."

Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to continuing education, renewal rules, and exam prep guidelines.

Do I need to report my CE hours to the Texas DPS?

No, you do not upload or report your certificates to the DPS when renewing. Instead, you and your company must maintain certificates of completion issued by CODEX on file for a period of 2 years, making them available only upon the department's request. Note that continuing education courses are only valid if completed within the two-year period preceding your license's current expiration date.

Does the practice exam prep guarantee I will pass the licensing exam?

While we cannot guarantee a pass, our practice exam prep uses high-yield questions, custom scenario explanations, and detailed reviews modeled directly after the Texas Private Security Chapter 1702 statutes and administrative rules—giving you the exact regulatory knowledge and confidence needed to pass on your first try.
