What if I already have a process serving business?

How much money can I realistically make?
If you look up "average salaries" online, you'll see low numbers because those are for employees. As a business owner, you are paid per serve. Do the math: Just 10 serves a week (very doable part-time) at an average of $75/serve is $3,000/month. We teach you how to get the clients to make that happen.
I have a full-time job. Can I do this on the side?
Yes. In fact, that is how most smart business owners start! Process serving is extremely flexible. You can serve papers in the evenings or weekends (when people are actually home!). You don't need to quit your job to launch this business.
Is the market saturated?
Not for professionals. While there are many "gig workers," attorneys are desperate for reliable, professional servers who treat this like a business. There is always room for quality.

Requirements & Certification

Do I need experience before joining?
No experience is required. This course is designed for both new and working process servers who want to build or grow a real business with structure and systems. However, it is each student's responsibility to know and comply with the laws and requirements in their own state before performing process serving duties.
Do I need a license before I start?
It depends on your state. We don't issue licenses or certifications ourselves, but we provide guidance so you can easily find the exact requirements for your area. We do offer the required training needed to obtain your Texas Process Server Certification. Many students start the course while their application is processing!
Is this only for process servers in Texas?
No. The business-building principles (LLC setup, marketing, client acquisition, pricing) apply everywhere. While some examples reference Texas-specific rules, the systems and strategies work in any state. You will need to confirm your own state's requirements.
Does this course teach me how to physically serve documents?
No. This course focuses on building and running a profitable process serving business — not the technical act of serving. We teach you how to get clients, set up your LLC, price your services, manage your workflow, and scale. For state-specific serving rules and procedures, check your local court requirements.
Do I need any special tools or software?
No. You need a reliable vehicle, a smartphone, a laptop, and a printer. We show you how to set up your "home base" with minimal overhead so you can keep your profits high from Day 1.
